Prior to serving St. Mark’s, Mother Lisa (or Lucy, if you prefer to use her nickname)
served as a priest at St. Edmund the Martyr in Arcadia; St. Thomas in St. Petersburg;
Christ Church in Greenwich, CT; and as school chaplain at St. Thomas’ Episcopal Church and
School in New Haven, CT. She has also worked in media ministry as a writer, television
producer, and public relations professional for Episcopal Life Media and Trinity Church, both in
New York; and Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood in Pittsburgh.
Lisa is the author of three books: For Those We Love But See No Longer: Daily Prayers
for Times of Grief; Wisdom from the Middle Ages for Middle-Aged Women; and Prayers to the
God of My Life: Psalms for Morning and Evening. She holds degrees from DePauw, Indiana,
and Yale Universities, as well as a D.Min in preaching. Lisa is a long-time volunteer at Venice Theatre, with the paint crew and Pinky’s Players—the theatre troupe for developmentally disabled adults. In addition to theatre, her passions include international travel and standard poodles, especially her Zelda Mae, a therapy dog in training.
