Enrichment Room
Our Enrichment Room is a Montessori based classroom. It is a nontraditional learning environment where there are no assigned seats, the children have easy access to supplies and learning material, and are consistently inspired and encouraged to direct their own learning.
We feel that children learn through experience: touching, tasting, smelling; using all of their senses to communicate and absorb the wonders of their quickly expanding world around them. Our Enrichment Room allows this learning to take place.
The children at St. Mark’s are able to spend time in the Enrichment Room at least one day a week for 40 minutes.
We often think of this room as our “Enchantment Room”!
