OUR CURRICULUM

At St. Mark’s Episcopal Day School, we implement the Learning Beyond Paper (LBP) Curriculum, a comprehensive early childhood education program aligned with the Florida Early Learning and Developmental Standards and the CLASS (Classroom Assessment Scoring System) framework. Our weekly lesson plans incorporate a rich blend of LBP lessons and engaging monthly themes, each carefully aligned and coded to meet Florida Standards. This ensures that every activity not only supports developmental milestones but also provides a fun, intentional learning experience for every child.

At Learning Beyond Paper, Inc., we firmly believe that no teacher should be left behind, and our children deserve a foundation of learning from infancy. We are here to do our part. Our philosophy includes:

  • Learning Beyond supports new teachers at every step and provides experienced teachers opportunities to expand on learning goals.

  • Children will develop problem-solving skills through trial and error, questioning, and exploration.

  • Meeting the Science of Reading expectations are at the heart of every literacy activity.

  • Our innovative curriculum will develop technology-literate learners with a focus on STE(A)M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) in every Daily Activity.
  • Learning Beyond uses technology intentionally to help support teachers and children.

  • ELBY, our virtual instructional coach, can tailor each lesson to individual children’s needs.

  • Continuous improvement is at the heart of Learning Beyond. We will never stop pushing ourselves to bring the best solutions to support educators, the children and families they serve, and the world we live in.
